A wonderful lead into this image.. I went straight up the stairs to the stone seat and wondered what view I could see from there. Beatuiful texture in the old stone, great work Rui.

Aren't they stunning, I love old stone, and this is delightful and to the right where the stone wall is, looks like a mini cactus, wonderful Rui :)

@Lorraine: If you like old stone, here is the place. This is an area very rich in calcarium rocks, and it's extracted for construction, etc.... I will try to show the place very soon.

I imagine a nice path to follow, with sand lizards and crickets all around. Rui, I'm interested on what you can see in this park....? I've been to the mundo aborigen gran canaria, and El Teide national park in Tenerife, is it like these....?

@Observing: I don't know those parks you mentioned but I think they're not similar.
This is a protected area, due to its geo-morphologic richness. This is an area very rich in calcarium and very very antique. Do you remember the rock salt mines? This is very close.
This area has also many caves, and a particular fauna and flora. Many species that are protected. For example, having so many caves we can find here about 10 different species of bats. (No, Batman no! :o))
It also possible to find dinosaurs' foot prints, very well conserved. I will post more images of the region.

I like these dry rocky places, reminds me of my time living in the Southern Med some years ago, I can see the lizards scurrying, hear the Cicadas, and smell the hot earth beneath my feet, fantastic.
