Luis de Camões - portuguese poet of the 16th Century, author of "Os Lusíadas", portraited by António Santos, known as “STATICMAN”, imobility Guiness recordist in 1988, world recordist of imobility in 1997 and 2003, year in which he got the title with a total time of 20 hours, 11 minuts and 36 seconds.

He so looks frozen here, the eye half closed just adds to that feeling even more as well as your cooler tones which - just looks like he is frozen solid ;o), wonderful study and documention of this guy aiming for the Guiness book of records!

Fotografar o "homem de pedra" é um bom treino para o retrato de pessoas expressivas e que se mexem. O p&b está bem, talvez um pouco contraste a mais, a luz estaria muito forte ou é fruto do reflexo no branco com que ele se pintou.

@António Pires: Obrigado António. Puxei pelo contraste para tentar dar um efeito de estátua mesmo. O branco era o reflexo da pintura, pois não havia muita luz.

The guy must have nerves of steel. I can't imagine what it would be like to not move an iota in all that time. I certainly would release a scream after 10 minutes without movement, perhaps less. Nice shot.
